Our Analysis

These cool sunglasses made especially for infants and toddlers protect the baby's eyes 100% from harmful UVA, B, and C rays. Children's eyes don't have the kind of protective pigments and anatomy that adults' do, so they are especially sensitive to the sun. Ultraviolet rays reach us even through the shade, sand, concrete, clouds, snow, and water, so babies can benefit from wearing these hip Julbo shades whenever they're outside.

The Julbo Loop Sunglasses are available in 3 different sizes with reversible frames that help to keep sunglasses in place: Loop S (0-18 months); Loop M (1-3 years); and Loop L (3-5 years). These uniquely designed sunglasses, which come in a large variety of color combinations, are flexible, shock-resistant, and tough enough to endure lots of use; polycarbonate, non-polarized dark lenses are defined as Category 4, which allow for only 5% of visible light to pass through them.

Little ones may fight against putting on any pair of sunglasses, especially as they get older and struggle for their independence. Luckily, the symmetrical nylon frames are reversible and flexible, so it is impossible to put them on your baby upside down. They also come with a fitted keeper strap that keeps them snug and a carry bag to help them stay safe when not in use.

We think the Julbo Infant/Toddler Loop Sunglasses make it easier to help kids feel accustomed to wearing sunglasses early on in life, which is critical for keeping their eyes healthy and intact. We recommend getting kids very comfortable with wearing toxin-free sunscreen whenever outside, too, in order to protect their sensitive skin from UV damage. And if you can keep a sunhat on your child as well, more power to you! (Actually, this is good advice for everyone, children and adults alike).
